The device is great! I've been training students in a Paradigm
CRJ-200 sim for over three years now and have hardly missed a
lesson due to maintenance. The students love to fly the device, and
it has all the features I need to prepare them for their professional
flying careers. The transformation I see students go through from
their first flight in the CRJ simulator to their last is remarkable.
This would not be possible without a Paradigm
CRJ device.

Founded in 1927 by Oliver "Lafe" Parks, SLU's Parks College was America's first federally certified school of aviation. Today, Parks has a worldwide reputation for our aviation and aerospace engineering programs. Parks has recently taken delivery of a Paradigm Shift Solutions CRJ-200 Regional Jet Trainer and are putting it to good use. Check out the news story above to see how Parks is utilizing their device to train students. Everybody remembers the remarkable skill Chesley B. Sullenberger displayed during his dramatic water landing on the Hudson river this year Parks College was quick to integrate this scenario into simulator training and give their students a hands on approach to dealing with the exact same scenario

I have thousands of hours in the real CRJ and have prepared dozens of pilots for their careers in a Paradigm CRJ simulator, and I am still amazed every time I get into the device at how closely it replicates the real CRJ. I just wish there was a device like this around when I did my initial training. It makes life much easier on the pilots to have such a sophisticated device to prepare them for their first airline job.

Gaining experience in a Paradigm CRJ device before training at the airlines
was an invaluable experience for me. Being familiar with the aircraft,
profiles and procedures was a big help. I felt like I was ahead of the
curve and never really in danger of failing out of training. I had a
good grasp on what was going on during training and this made the entire
experience very enjoyable. I felt like I was able to grasp the more
advanced aspects of each lesson as I had the basics down cold before
training even began.

Training in a Paradigm
CRJ simulator afforded me opportunities that otherwise would not
have been available. At the time I applied to the airlines my multiengine
time was low, around 15 hours. The airlines, however, considered the
experience I gained in the Paradigm
CRJ sim and waived their normal minimums. Not only did I get the
job, but I excelled during training as I was already familiar with the
basic operating principals of the CRJ. The accuracy of the Paradigm
simulator made transitioning into the Level D FFS and aircraft very
comfortable.
